Jamaica radio personality, Nikki Z, charged with ganja possession

Radio personality and potential role model to thousands of Jamaican children, Nikki Z, has been held on possession of marijuana. She appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court yesterday to answer to the charge of possession of ganja.

Nikki Z, whose real name is Nicole Duhaney, is to return to court in July.

When the matter was mentioned in the Corporate Area Resident Magsitrate’s Court on Wednesday, her attorney, Antonnette Haughton, told the court that the policeman, a Mr Ashman, who was investigating the matter, had died and so she was not sure where the case was going.

Jamaican Prime Minister, Bruce Golding, in a HARD talk interview shown on 20th May 2008 with Stephen Sackur, BBC, was for the most part, quick on his feet and deadly accurate. However his calm and composed mood was shaken as Stephen Sackur started throwing out questions based on Jamaica’s apparent “intolerance to homosexuality.”
